I love a good rebellion, I also like the truth. Which brings me to another point. I really hate Michael Moore. He made that movie about Columbine, which was purely propaganda. Now hes got another one, ready to swindle America again... I can't really repeat how else I feel about this guy, since any 8 year olds might learn how to properly kick a body into a ditch might see this, and Mike would make a movie about it. What I really wanna say is, if you wanna do something about it (like me!) boycott this guy. Thanks
~M
I personally can't stand the guy. I'm all for people standing up and having their say, and would would never stand in the way of it, but the crap this guy spews is absolutely ridiculous. His so called "documentaries" have absolutely no basis in truth and should be labeled editorials. The thing that frightens me about the guy is that there are people who will see his "documentary" and take it as gospel truth, rather than the opinion that it is.
I'm sure he's only after the money, and enjoys being in the spotlight. He's just a bloated, left-wing ****. If they like him so much in France, he should move there, wouldn't break my heart. He should be thankful that our country is safe enough for him to make a jerk out of himself if he choses to do so. I hope his movie flops, I know I'm not seeing it.
michael moore is the epitome of modern day journalism. they dont investigate stories, they dont even report stories. they take tragidy, heartbreak, and unrest and sensationalise them so as to get the greatest emotional response. i believe the modern media is one of the largest contributors to the problems that face our country.
I do share some his viewpoints but all he does is ruin any good arguments by twisting everything around. Sometimes I wonder if he isn't really a righty trying to make the leftys look bad by pretending to be one and saying this stupid stuff. Just so everyone understands: I am all for guns. Also, there are plenty of people on the other side just as rediculous, but they get all of broadcast television . they don't need to make movies.
I'd like to see Penn and Teller do one of their Showtime shows with the unmentionable name on him. The only problem is it would turn into a season long mini-series.
How could anyone agree with his viewpoints... if you mean you'd never like to see another school shooting, then yes I agree, but thats not his viewpoint... his viewpoint is to take away any chance you'll ever have to own a gun.
I saw "Roger and Me" years ago. I thought it was pretty funny, what with the nasty joke he tricked Bob Eubanks into telling, and the gal whacking the rabbit and skinning it.... But the point of view was decidedly leftist and that GM owed everyone in Flint a job etc etc. Since Roger and his ilk had provided arguably poor leadership and management at GM, I thought it served something of a purpose. I do not know to what degree it contained outright falsehoods and distortions.
"Bowling..." did, according to critics, contain material edited to change the meaning of the speaker, misrepresentations of time lines etc. Since these are purposefully done, IMO, it moves it out of "Documentary" and into satire. Ironic how he went on and on about W being a fake, when in fact him getting an Oscar for that movie is the biggest falsehood in Oscar history. (again, imo)
Comes "911..." Since "Bowling...." established the credibility of this fellow, I would assume "911" is the same tripe.
What that this person puts on film can be trusted?
I don't like fiction books, and can barely tolerate TV and Movies. When there is a film like "Mississippi Burning" or "JFK" where the real story is compelling and interesting, the second I hear they dolled it up or moved it around, then my dollar is going elsewhere. Hence, I would not consider a film by this person, and share all ill will and hard feelings expressed or implied in this thread.
