Does anybody has/ had a overhead cab shelf? You know, the ones that go above the visors, I am thinking about getting one for my '93 Bronco. I am just wondering about the pros n cons of them and since I've never had one what is a good, durable one. -Bill
I've had one in my '95 for a couple of years now. Happy with in no complaints. My borther hates it. He is 6'5 and says it is in his sight. I am 5'10 and have no problems.
I'm 6'1" and have problems with them. I can see under them okay, but I feel like I gotta slouch down. Puts the sun visors down real low too.
I took it out because of that problem. I sure do miss it though, that sure was a handy storage spot
I had one in my '91 F-250. It was great. The seat sat low enough that I had no trouble with it. I'm 6'0". I just installed one in my '03 F-250 and it seems as though the seat sit s good bit higher and it does trouble me some. I am going to make visor brackets to hold the free ends of the visors up tight to the shelf. The OEM brackets sit way down from the ceiling and would be too low when transferred to the shelf. That and bending the mounting tabs of the visor pivots up as far as they would go should make it satisfactory.
Thanks, JC had a color chart that'll make easier to get the one I need. Also, I am looking for those metal window shades that go in the top of the window. I can't find them anywhere.
