Thumbs down V10 Differences

Hi Everyone,
Quick background: Blew a headgasket at 75000 miles. Crankcase full of coolant. Bought a brand new 2002 engine off ebay. Some obvious differences are the oil cooler and pan have to be replaced from my old engine. I have to assume that the computer will adjust to the new engine since they adjust when you add performance equipment. The new engine does not have an EGR system. I looked on car-parts.com and see that they list both egr and non-egr engines for 2002.

The questions: Does anyone know a) is there a site that describes the difference v10 engines Ford has built? b) is there a rime or reason to which vehicles got an egr? c) how are your engines configured: egr/nonegr?

I am leaning (mainly because the vin of my rv will say that it should have the egr system) towards moving all the EGR equipment from the old engine to the new one.

Thanks for any info.
john.

My original engine was a 1998. OBTW, I went by a rv place today and a looked at a 2002 e450 class c and it did not have an egr.
thanks,
john.
