well there i was driving along without a care in t

he world doing 45 mph, then all of a sudden Bam the rear end starts to jump! Then the rear end locks up and the tires start screeching I tap on the brakes big mistake then my rig does a 180 in the middle of a three lane road with a speed limit of 45mph with people who usually do faster than that. Anyway while turning backwards i ended up perfectly in the turn lane, so i sit there for a second confused then i turn flasher's on, put it in drive and try to get out of the way of the large grocery store's entrance to the road, But no go she won't go forward just a clunking noise so i look back and see i still have wheels thank god. I wondered if i had a driveshaft after that so i looked down below the truck sure enough i still have a driveshaft but differential is leaking oil. Then this nice guy who did not see me do the 180 come's out and helps push it into the parking lot. And i look down and see there's a big pin poking out of my diff cover and the cover has the pattern of gear teeth torn into it. Crap, pucker factor was high, i was told this happens when people try to hot rod their rigs, i am just glad it did not happen on interstate 5 where i travel alot, would have been a very nasty experience if i was next to big rigs doing 65 to 70.

Yea, sounds nasty, just glad you were not killed or broadsided. Actually, you where lucky the truck did not flip while doing the 180. If you where going faster it probably would have been wheels up.

 

Well I guess you found the next upgrade, gald no one was hurt including the truck.
