Keypad question

Great site! I am the new owner of a very slightly used 03 EB Expy. I came here looking for a few tidbits of info, subscribed, and got my first question answered quickly enough: How do you figure out the keyless entry keypad code? Easy! after a quick search, I learned that it is on the security control module under the dash, on the passenger side, above the blower. All one has to do is push a bundle of wires aside and the five-digit code is easily read. the code worked fine, which is great since I wasn't sure if the previous owner changed the code (don't even know if you can do this as it didn't come with a manual, second key or fob. No big deal, the price was insane, so I'll just get the key from Ford & the rest from e-bay, or elsewhere. Any suggestions on getting these two items or if the keyless system can be custom programmed for a user-friendly code?

Don't worry, I'll stop asking these silly questions once I get a manual...

You can add a second code that will work in addition to the factory code. Key in the factory code, press the [1|2] button, then key in the dersired five-digit code. You cannot erase or modify the factory code.

Will this procedure erase a previously entered code?

Man, I can't wait to get the book. Not being able to figure out this kind of stuff just KILLS me!

Yes, it will erase a previously entered code, but it won't affect the factory original code.
