ranger acceleration

i am thinking about purchasing a '89 ranger with the 3.0 v-6 engine and would like some acceleration numbers for a 2wd 1988 through 1992 rangers with the 3.0

I had a 01 3.0 auto xlt ex cab 4-doors all the goodes with
k/n intake and borla ex.... 1/4 mile = poor 18.6's

1991 was the first year for 3.0L in 4x2 Rangers. 1993 was the first year for 3.0L in 4x4 Rangers. Most 3.0L owners later wished they had gotten the 4.0L engine.

An 1989 should have a 2.9L if it's a V-6. The 2.9 is a little stronger than the 3.0 but it does have some issues that you should check for, the biggest being cracked heads, but it is a good engine.
