I have a 2001 F250 short bed SRW 7.3L quad cab 2wd with a limited slip 3.73 gear. I am thinking about using one of Arrowcraft's rear kits for stability and blowout protection, because I am purchasing a 40' gn featherlite car trailer. Has anyone done this before? How well did it work? Do you think it is as good as the factory dually? Would you recomend someone else to do it? Any pros, cons, regrets, etc...? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your post assumes everyone knows what the Arrowcraft kit is. I don't but can guess from the post wording that it is an aftermarket dual rear wheel conversion. Seems to me I read a few years ago that the SRW and DRW axels had different outter bearing size and placement and that dual wheel conversions to SRW axels placed too much stress on one of the bearings. I did a quick search over in the tow and hauling section of the diesel site and could not find the thread I am thing of. Sorry maybe some one else will jump in.

Yes, I'm sorry, I should have clarified. Arrowcraft.com is a SRW to DRW conversion business that some of the guys on the forum were talking about in some other threads. Thanks for the input.
Still doesn't change the axle or spring capacity. Why waste the $$ on the kit and extra tires? I'd suggest a good aftermarket sway bar front and rear and good E ply tires.
