I just called them and the cost is $385.95 plus shipping on both directions.

That doesnt suprise me as the F2/3 is not your everyday axle; they have to make dies for each type they drop.

I bought a 4" dropped and drilled Model A axle from them for $230 delivered about 3 years ago for my 26T coupe.

The person on the phone did not even ask me what the vehicle was sounds like it was the normal price for everything. I think the front axle is the same on the F1/F2 and F3. I bought an F1 disk brake kit and it bolted right up to my F3. Also when I bought a king pin kit the same kit was listed for the F1/F2 and F3.

You are correct Chris, it wasnt until 53 that a change was made; the F100/250 had one axle and the F350/P350 had another.

I got the same price from them when I asked about my F350 axle. Have to think about it, the shipping is going to cost a bundle going both ways and in the end you still have king pins. I'm trying to find a couple of I beam axle C30 and C3500's to get measurements off of. Might be an easy way to get a ball jointed axle that you can use dropped spindles on rather than messing with the beam. Also found a place today locally that will reverse the eyes on my existing front springs pretty cheap.

He said about $40 each. That includes them disassembling and re-assembling the spring pack. He said that they could do it to existing springs if they were in good shape. Somehow, mine still have the yellow numbers on the main leaf

Id say about $40-60 round trip UPS to AZ from MN. I sold/sent a 32 commercial axle to CA a few years ago and it cost around $35.

Also would like to hear more about the GM axle and the problems involved in the swap.

Bookmark me and please keep me in the loop, it sounds like you may have come up with a really creative alternative to IFS. Thx. David

I will. I'm hoping to get over to the big truck junkyard next week to do some measuring and pricing. It looks like some other possible donors are some F450's.

There's a pretty easy 1 ton IFS option as well, turns out that chevy 3/4 ton and 1 ton IFS is a 1 piece bolt on assembly. My options are more limited since I'm building a dually and 2wd duallys arn't real common in MN.
