suspention????
hello all new guy here this fourm is alsome helped me a lot so far. i just had a question on the suspention i read about the swap u can do with a explore i was wondering should i buy shocks for a explore or bii??? and anyone who has replaced the heads how did it go and where do i get a new pair?? got a tight budget. any help would be great. by the way 88 bii 4.9 4x4 5-speed. and how far can i lift with out having to changeing the drive shaft,and no body lift. i heard 2in is the max is that true. thanx ohioredneck

If you swap in coils and leaf springs from the explorer, you're driveshaft should be fine, I've heard up to 4" lift on the driveshaft question. The Explorer springs will lift you about 2-2.5". When it comes to the heads, go with world products.

I have 31's on mine right now, if you look in my gallery those are 265 75 15's which is basically .5" shorter than the 31's and the 31's are a little wider, and I've had no rubbage at all, and I've done a little offroading, nothing to big, but I've gone over quite a few deep bumps going about 35 and I haven't bottomed out, and I also don't have a lift of any sort on mine.
