Hey everyone,
I'm wanting to convert my FMX to a C4 on my 79 Ranchero w/ a 302. So far I'm told that the same flexplate and crossmember will work, but I have a question regarding the driveshaft. I measured my FMX to be around 28" from bellhousing to extension housing, and I read that on the C4 it is 30.25-30.5". Is that too much of a difference to where I would have to buy a different length of driveshaft, or can I buy a new transmission slip yoke? The yoke on mine does look long, so I was thinking a shorter yoke could do the trick. But i can't seem to find them. Anyone know where to get them, or most importantly will putting a shorter yoke in work? Thanks!
Danny
