Diffrence between F250 and F350

So what is the real diffrence between an PSD F250 and F350? I have a 2000 PSD F250 and I was looking to see if I would be able to increase the payload of the F250. I currently pull a trailier with my race car on it (open trailer) but I am looking to upgrade to a Gooseneck or 5th wheel enclosed trailer.

I know that the blocks are diffrent in the rear, some say that is all so that is what I am wanting to find out.

The blocks are the only real difference. Check out the email from Ford in the FAQ. That being said, there is no legal way to increase your payload. If you swapped out the rear blocks with F350 blocks it would help rear end sag though.

so if I swap the blocks it will help with sag.... ok I get that. But if that is the only diff is that not increasing the payload?

Also where can I get blocks from?

it will increase the payload, but not "legally" as in your door tag would still read the same

You could get an F350 driver side door to go with those F350 blocks.

Actually, 04 F250's come with same size as 04 F350 versions. 04 250XL's came with 235's but XLT and Lariat's came with 265's standard. Pretty sure that's true of the 2000 models that Soundbuys was talking about.

Not always true...

My 2001 F-250 came stock from the factory with the 10 ply load range E tires... Same as on the the 350. As I looked at the vehicles on the lot when buying mine, all of the 250s & 350s at this dealer had the bigger tires.

I hope I understand the question but the f250 and the f350 have totally different front ends I think. I have a f250 that has that goofy independent front axle and my f350 has a good old rigid straight axle in the front. I like the straight axle as varying loads will ruin front tires on a independent axle.
