Ok I am not sure if there is a problem yet I just have time so I wanna ask. Do the dual tanks of lets say a '93 ford F-150 leak often. Just wondering to see if it is common. I'll find out for sure tomorrow. Thanks
I have a '93 F-250, 104k miles, rear tank leaks. I would say that if you have road salt useage its highly likely they will leak about now.
I have a question about tanks. In crusing through catalogs and on the net I see rear tank prices at about $70, $130, and dealer list. There are also non-original plastic tanks for $150 or was it $180. Does anyone have experience with the $70 tanks? Are they as good as the more expensive ones? Any comments on the plastic (I think polyethylene)?
Most of the time the front tank leaks first, thanks to plastic protector holding in all the salt-mud.Have seen a few seams leak also.Have'nt seen too many rear leaks per say.I have used quite a few $70 tanks with no problems.Always get mine from Keystone. No experience with the plasic.
