overdrive will not turn off!!!!!!

in my 01 super crewv4x4 the overdrive will not turn off, do any of yall have any tips to figure out wht the prob. is because i have to haul a couple of sport bikes to cali next week and i need that over drive off.

Does the O/D light react when you press the button?

I would guess the switch is bad, but my '01 is a 5spd, so I don't have any experience with electronic shift trannys.

PS if it's just a couple of motorcycles you'll be ok in OD, just don't make a habit of it.

I agree with scottie, probably a a bad switch. Which engine do you have? If you have the 5.4, you'd probably be OK with the O/D on, but if you have the 4.6, I'd have it looked at.
