craftsman has a led light that has 3 positions on the switch, one led in the middle on, 4 on the out side on middle off, and all of them on. the 4 are for up close and the one is for distances, works pretty well but still not the distance of a mag light. i have the small pen light with 5 lights that are very bright but only up close because it is a flood type. you can get a spot for distances.
Hi there weadjust. I just wanted to ask you how you like your job? I am going to have to be retrained due to a car wreck at work. Your job is one that interest me. If you would like to e-mail me you can. I would like to know the pro's and con's. Thanks
I recently received a 2000000 candelpower spotlight as a gift--I know its not as easy to carry, but in terms of light emitting its amazing--I have lit stuff up from a mile away--can even illuminate low flying airplanes and cloud layers. Its no LED, but the entertainment factor alone is amazing
I purchased one of them surefire flashlights. for a little light (about the size of a 2AA maglight) it puts out more light than my 3D maglight. But it burns up batteries twice as fast.
Have an "Attitude" by Princeton Tec. It has three LED bulbs, takes 4 AAA batteries. Good for close-up and distance, very good for reading stuff in the dark, IE wiring diagrahms, instructions, maps. I've had it down to 50' and it didn't leak water, I left one on overnight and still didn't have to replace the batteries. It fits in a minimag holster, and if your a cop or military you can tape or paint the body and its hard for someone to tell where the light is coming from. L.L. Bean has them.
i have a shake it up led light it doesn't use batteries. you just shake it for about 30 seconds and you have a light for about 5 mins. it has a decent range and it has a blue light. but it isn't a minny light. it's real handy to put in the glove/toolbox so you don't have to worry about batteries at all.
I have a couple of headband LED lights; Dorcy brand. Cheap, 3 LEDs, 3 AAA cells. It's about as bright as moonlight for walking, and almost the same colour. It was really handy when I was working on or under my truck at night. The light was always where I needed it, and no cords to get in the way.
