49s, huh, dang! Thats one behemoth you're gonna have your hands, sweet. I forget, what axles/gears you running? Also, you said that this thing was a street driven rig, but you're gonna keep the hawgs for street duty....? Where are you going to use the Iroks then? Also, just out of curiousity, what did you pay for the set?
Still got the Dana 60 and 10.25. Oh well, at least the 60's got live spindles. Hope to someday have deuce-and-a-half axles under it, though....just gotta find a pair. I'll use the Iroks for showing and keep the Hawgs for the daily driven 250 mile/week part.
I just have too much lift for 44s (41's) with a pickup that's 21 feet long....the tires look tiny.
I've always wanted a set of 44s (and a pickup big enough to run them), but now that I have that, I want MORE!!! (I'm a guy, what can I say?)
Still got the 4.10's in the diffs.......I know, I know. I sold the 5.13's I had to 95 F350. Guess I needed more money at the time than I needed the gears. Also, since I do have plans of someday having rockwells, I will just save my money and live with the current gearing I have. This is also another reason to keep the 44s around.....I have a feeling the 49's will work that PSD to death if I had to run them all the time.

Oh, the cost....

I was thinking the same thing, that sounds pretty cheap for the 49s. Looking forward to pics. Since Cleatus says he's really only going to be using the 49s for showing the drivetrain should survive nicely.
Hot damn cleatus! That's awesome! Just out of curiousity how are your 4.10's handling the 44's right now? I'll be running 3.54's with my 44's for another 2 months and I'm a little worried about it.
I'm getting the tires and wheels from a custom suspension shop in Bozeman (90 miles away). He ordered them for a guy that has an 03 Cummins (he put 25 or so inches of lift on it), but had to take it all off cuz it was totally unusable . I think the trucks owner's wife got mad.... . Now he's got these tires that won't fit on anything he has, so he's selling them. He's got a couple sets of 44"TSLs and a set of 44" Boggers he's putting on eBay.
Ivan,
I guess I can't complain about how my PSD pulls the 44s around, although I think a 460 would do a better job (but burn 75% more fuel while doing it). It will get out of it's own way as it sits, but it's like rowing a boat around town...shifting A LOT, I mean (5-speed). Also, I can't (don't need to) use 5th gear any more. 4th gear puts me at about the same RPM at 70 MPH with the 44s as it used to do in 5th with the 265/75's. 1600 RPM at 70 MPH is too slow for a PSD....Cummins, Ok, but not a PSD.
THERE WILL BE PICS!!!
Actually, I think the first pictures will be posted Sunday...of the tires in the back of the '73 2wd....if they fit in there.

Pro you hoser listen up! Buy them all! My little sis lives in Bozeman . . . it would be a good excuse to make a trip. Dang, I'd buy 2 boggers off you and then we'd be all set.
And I thought it was cool when I finally got 35s...... . Well, that just gives me something to shoot for. Congrats.......and try not to get a nosebleed at that high altitude.
