I just wanted to know if any of you have bosses you can't stand ?
Mine told me today he was unhappy with me because i pointed out a error on my pay check.
I did do it in a nice manner
What would you guys do in my situation ?
Keep your cool in the workplace most of all...don't get frustrated with him. I've always thought that was the only real purpose for a boss, so if you don't let them frustrate you they aren't doing THEIR job right! However, I like my new boss, she's a nice gal...I've been there 2 months and no conflicts yet!

If you like the job, go talk to him. Ask him if he's upset. Did he say something like.."You aren't supposed to notice mistakes." ? You might state that if you reacted in a manner that he took offensive, you didn't mean to and offer an apology. Most employers don't want mistakes made on their employee's checks and he may have been a tad upset at the bookkeeper.
Depending on what size of company you work for you should take the matter up with the payroll department or try the HR person. If it is a small company try and talk to the boss again and see if it can be worked out. Sure there are some bad bosses out there but most will try and figure out what the problem is. Most do not need or want problems with their employees paycheck and will try and make it right. As a boss I find that no matter what happens at work you don't screw around with an employees pay.. If all else fails take it over his head.
i just started a new job today cuz my old boss was messing with my money. so do some checking on all you pay stubs and if he is in the wrong and will not admit it then i would say adios....if the mistake is in your favor the keep your mouth shut!!!!!

I don't like my supervisor. I don't like her mainly because she is rude and talks about everyone behind their backs. If she is speaking, we cannot speak until she has completely finished what she was saying and only after a few seconds pause, so that we can "take in what the other person is saying."
She just says some very rude and very unappropriate things sometimes.
A few weeks ago, she said something that I probably could have gotten her into deep trouble for. She just hired a new tech to work with us and she was telling me and one of the other guys about him. She said he interviewed very well, then she turned to me and said that if she would have interviewed him when she interviewew me, she would have hired him instead of me. I was furious at that comment.
She also talks very bad about other people including one of the other techs I work with, which she supervises, and his wife that also works there who happens to be good friends with my supervisor. She has said several nasty things to me about them before. There have been several other things she has done that really makes me mad.
I guess I am somehwat lucky. My boss isn't that bad, never talks unappropriately about anyone, will joke around, is down to business, very knowledgeable, and doesn't mind being questioned when you have trouble with soimething. Also I haven't seen him in at least a month, maybe two, and haven't had him in the office when I am here. I have talked to him on the phone a few times (had to call and wake him up) when we were having equipment problems but that's it. I guess I should say I work midnights and I am the only one here too.
