2000silverbullet,
I live here in PA and yes, we do contend with the salt on the roads. This past summer, the frame was driving me nuts. It looked bad compared to the rest of the truck. It was dirty and had surface rust. What I did was wire brush and spray paint the frame. It looks good and will help aid against the salt. I'm more worried about my aluminum wheels...haha.
Thanks for the info. I've read some other posts about some coating you can paint on so someday I plan on coatin' the whole underside of my truck (as much as I can)
Crap, now I gotta worry about my rims???? aye carumba.....
birddog16,
My engine block heater plug is right behind my front bumper on the rubber guard that is under the radiator area. Check there with a flashlight, I'm sure you'll find it. You should be able to trace the plug wires back to the side of the block where the heater is located. Good luck.
