Talking Performance Tuning

All you guys that have been patiently awaiting high performance hardware and internals for the 6.0/Torqshift...

I've made a bunch of phone calls today- talked to Brian at BTS, David at Swamp's performance, Ken Englesman at DPS, and a tech at TS...

We will be seeing LOTS of new parts (bolt on and otherwise) from December to February...

Swamps, as of now, has high-flow injector rebuilds available for any flow rate-1500 dollars.

Brian at BTS told me that we will see his upgraded, 4-Speed Torqshift (up to 1000 hp) by the middle of December.

The new bolt-on turbocharger (the company's name unknown) is supposed to be available by January, and internal parts (connecting rods, head studs, o-rings, ect) will be available by the end of winter/beginning of spring...I'm sure more stuff will be soon to follow.

I'll keep you guys posted as I hear more things...I just figured some of you would like to know approximately when to get your wallets ready to shell out for the SERIOUS horsepower we have been looking for

Nah.... just dreaming - it's actualy doing WELL as is...

and with the new house payment and honey do going to buy new furniture to put into it, best leave well enough alone

Did u know there's a rule you have to always buy new furniture for a new house ???
You can't put "old" furniture in it even if she JUST did this 4 years ago with the last new house ?!?!?!?

Gosh, I need to start reading that fine print

This could work in your favor. Tell her your new garage needs some new tools and toys to help fill it up. What would the neighbors think if you didn't get new stuff to "furnish" the garage with?

Sounds like it could be time to trade in the 7.3...
Or even better, still keep it, and just get another toy

Thought I would dig this old dinosaur back up from the grave...

Update on the performance parts:

Rocky Mountain Diesel Performance now has the new upgraded 6.0 turbocharger; injectors of any size you need are now available from Swamps or anyone who carries them; Suncoast has a GREAT 5R110 extreme duty kit available now at a very reasonable price, and head studs are readily available- I have just finished installing the transmission kit and head studs on my truck.

I am working on connecting rods through Cunningham Rods, and some bottom end work and bearings through Southern Illinois Crankshaft. Another good buddy here at FTE (JOHN ) is helping me with getting the heads and valvetrain taken care of (as soon as I ship this head- yes, I know, I'm slow) along with some other miscellaneous short block work.

Don't know if anyone else here is planning on doing any serious high-performance engine work done, but I just thought I would keep you all updated anyways

Matt, sounds good.
When are we expecting to get ET's?
And I know it is always bad to pre-empt times, but do you have any idea what it will run?
I know you were also looking at changing the suspension to improve high speed stability (I don't know why ) did you have any luck?

My Darlin' wife would tell me to get a new attorney while I was at it.

But what the heck...when we bought our new house she got new furniture...I got a super big screen TV.

Then a couple of months later I needed new truck tires & brakes. She wasn't real pleased when the tires and brakes had a new truck wrapped around them.

I kinda gotta away with one there.
