Talking A Good Trip!!!!!!!!!!!

I just came back from a fufn trip drove the v10 all the way with no problems.

I got 12.5 according to the trip computer for most of the way , the lowes i got was 8.7 and that was only while going uphill for about 5 minutes . iwas doing 65 all the way. is there anything i can do to improve that or is that the best i can get out of the rig? i was traveling from Philladelphia to Northern NY. had to drive thru the Pocono Mountains i still got about 330 miles out of one tank i think that is pretty awsome. i hope that i can comeup with a way of saving some more gas on the next trip. thanks for any input......

sounds pretty good. if you get an exaust system & air intake(K&N Filter) you should be able to get a lil bit better. like 13/13.5 or maybe even better. They also advertise the programmers that will boost MPG a couple miles. with the exaust intake and programmer i don't see why you couldn't get 14 or so. that'd be about $800 buck for the items i mentioned. but it would breathe better sound better and perform better. sounds like a plus to me! Hope this helps you out a bit.

o yeah with my grandfathers f-350 v-10 dually 4x4 supercab longbed with 4.10's. i can only get 11 at best running about 70-75 empty. usually get about 300 miles if lucky on a tank. thats pushing it to running on fumes dang near. forgot to add that.

MPG improvers: Air up your tires as far as they can go without adverse wear. Cover the bed or remove the tailgate - without a cap on my shortbed, I lose at least 1-2MPG. I get over 15 (16.3 once) on the highway, with a supercab shortbed 4x4 w/V10 as long as I'm easy on the gas (75MPH or lower), have the cap on, tires pumped up, etc.

I have stock exhaust and intake.

Thumbs up

this are some really helpful tips and i will be shure to try some of them on my next trip and see what i can come up with.

also, i am currently running 33" with 16.5, should i worry about changing my gears and if so what could be the best combination for this setup.
