Alarm not loud enough.
I had a Viper 791XV installed w/remote start and it works fine. It just doesn't seem loud enough. I took it back to the installer and told them about the problem. The horn needs to be relocated because the engine compartment is so well sound deadend that it is absorbing the sound. Any one experience this on their 04. Any ideas where to locate the horn for best results? The installer will move it for me but not sure where to put it.

horn isnt obstructed at all, the only thing that would be covering it is the rubber inside fender wall. you can get a louder horn or i had some friends relocate their horns to the wheel well but on a truck and if you take it off pavement you will probably get it gunked up pretty fast.

yea last time i couldnt get the remote to work on my moms crappy mercedes i opened it with the key and the alarm went off no one cared i had the trunk open and i was screwing around in the hood of a $60K car in a bad neighborhood.
the 50 horns would be funnier if he found a way for all of them to go with just a little after the other.
