Squeak from rear end

When I take off a little spirited from a stop sign, I can feel a slight delay before the truck begins to move. Also I hear at the same time a squeak, like something is loose and sliding a little bit.
The truck has 113,000 miles on it, could it be a bushing or something else worn out. It doesn't seem like a drive shaft issue, but I suppose it could be. I have been underneath the truck, and can't seem to find anything loose.
Thanks for hte suggestions.
Tim

It could be that the u-joints in the dirveshaft are dry, or it could be the pinion seal.

Does the squeek sound more like a honk?
If the squeek just happens once every time you take off it may the splines inside the slip yoke at the front of the shaft are dry.
Ford has some special Teflon grease to lube the splines with but some people just use other grease and it works ok.

How do you lube the splines at the front of the shaft? I'll try that and see if it helps.

Remove the driveshaft and just smear some grease on the splines inside the slip yoke then reinstall the shaft.
