reduced mpg with straight pipe?
I would like to change to a straight pipe, on my 97 cc f250, but have heard stories of reduced mpg due to less back pressure, and cooler exhaust temps. Can anyone give before and after mpg with muffler then straight pipe? Thanks, Jeff
As with any mod, your right foot tends to get a little heavier.

Yea - I didn't get any different MPG when I lost my muffler either - but it sure as heck sounds good!! And like Cookie said - the whole point of going to straight pipe, or an aftermarket exhaust is to drop EGT #'s - a very good thing when it comes time for your chip or programmer!
