I currently am running a 351c in my truck, have a 390 that I pulled out of it, not that anything was wrong with it, just too much money to build the damn thing!!!! ( my dad says you get what you pay for ) but anyway i am going to sell it and was wondering how much it is worth....... this is what I have done to the motor, all new parts. Headman headers, Edelbrock 750 carb, chrome valve covers, Edelbrock performer RPM cam and lifters, double roller timing chain, bored .30 over, altenator, hp water pump, mini torque starter, stock rods, keith black pistons, and high volume oil pump,
any help would be great,
Well its basically a stock motor with a cam, headers, and the KB pistons you didnt say what the CR is..and what heads were on it..
I can buy back here in VA, running 390s all day long for $250 to $300 and some with the trannys too... So add the cam, headers, pistons (not full price) there used..

I'm confused, you say the 390 costs too much to build, yet you already claim to have bought all these parts for it and you already built it, now why would you claim it cost too much to build, then now want to sell it? And you think the Cleveland will be cheaper? Something just doesn't add up here?
thanks for the input guys, good news though I sold the engine to a guy who drag races in my home town and he paid $3500 cash, and to answer the first question, it runs, currently in a 77 mud truck, he showed up heard it run and bam 3 hours later i was handed cash.
Lucky me i guess
Thanks Snot Rocket
