How is the mileage, better?
Runs fine and smooth, to soon to tell if mileage increased, but the power is really soft, off line response seems better, but I would say at the expense of low end HP. For example in the past when you floored it of the line, it would hesitate, rev slowly to 1700 then exploded in wheel smoke, now it is quicker of the line, stills revs slow, and at 1700 nothing really happens, at least not as quickly as in the past. I guy really has to have this new flash dyno'd.

Well I got my Predator installed today with no problem on the latest Ford flash I got 2 weeks ago,, Also installed a MBRP Cat Back system today which is no louder then stock, was kinda disapointed about that but when I installed the preditor I was smiling again. It did rev up to almost 4k RPMS on my test drive when I punched it,, I guess will need to wait for the tranny to relearn before really getting on it.

I got the latest Flash today, 3U7A-12A650-FTE. I haven't tried to load the Predator yet as I wanted to see what the new flash would do. It feels a lot better. Sort of like it did when I first got it except without the PI. Nice acceleration. Too early to see what the mileage is like.

I have an 04 engine 04 truck, and the flash I got installed last week was a similar number, but not quite the same: 4U7A-12A650-BGC Truck seems to have slightly better power off the line (not as much dead time for turbo spool up). I have seen a few different "numberings" for flash updates, but this is what the sticker says that the dealer put in my engine compartment.

Nope, the December 03 flash for the 03 6.0 with auto non-California is 3U7A-12A650-FTC. For the December 03 6.0 Excursion with auto non-California is 3U7A-12A650-FXC. The new flash given to me by the diesel tech for my truck is 3U7A-12A650-FTE. It is a new flash.

And, Yes, it seems to run better. Low end less lag and better "on-ramp" acceleration. I haven't had it long enough to check mileage.

While Predator finally released there update and I uploaded to truck in 65 hp mode.. Worked great for a few weeks when a injector gave up the ghost, so I removed program and had it repaired.
Upon reloading with the remove speed limit option selected, the tune said it installed fine but when I put in gear to drive away it suddenly shuts of the motor. Did this twice. Put the speed limiter back in and reloaded and it works fine, nofified Predator and we we see what happens. Anyone else had this problem.

I also have had a problem with my predator. I have received the lastest flash from Ford and I also updated my predator with the R34g. When I installed the 65hp tune with the speed govener removal the truck died when I put it in gear it did it to me 4 times. I put the orginal backup in and the truck ran fine again.

I have an update. I went to diablosport.com and found that there is a new update that is the r34h. I downloaded it and tried it on my truck this morning and the truck still died when I installed the speed governor removal. I guess I'll have to call diablo tomorrow to see whats wrong.

The 65hp and 100HP tunes have the speed governor removed. I don't know about the tow tune. Are you just loading the stock tune with speed limiter removed?

Yes, with the r34h update I just loaded the stock tune with speed limiter removed. With the r34g update I loaded the 65hp tune and the stock tune with the speed limiter removed. I also didn't know that the 65hp and 100hp had the governor already removed becuase I didn't find any info in the manual. The tow tune doesn't have the speed limiter removed becuase I ran the truck for a week with that tune before I took it to the dealer for the latest flash. Thats why I thought you had to install one of the hp tunes and then install the stock tune with speed limit removed.

Just return everything to original tune. Then just load the 65HP and don't modify it. Yes documentation leaves a little to be desired.

Thanks SBV45. I just loaded the 65HP and it ran perfect. The only bad thing is I couldn't test the top speed becuase the weather isn't the greastest right now.

This is becoming a real **** off and I'm beginning to wonder if anyone at Diablo talks to anyone else there. I called about the speed govenor removal this morning because truck would die with it installed, and no one admitted knowing anything about what I was talking about.
Later, he says that someone told him that the issue had been addressed in release h and told me to go ahead an install it. While, now I reading here that it does not fix the problem. I getting tired of wasting my time talking to people who seem sincere, but don't have a clue whats going on with there own product, and they are the tech support people. I may just ask for my money back if this continues, its cost me more in time then the damn things worth. JMTB
