snubber, you are in the right place. Your engine is considered an IDI or indirect injection --- which means the fuel is preheated in a precombustion chamber before it is drawn into the cylinder. All of the IDI engines are NOT turbocharged. The powerstroke is a different engine that has direct injection and other different parts. All of the power strokes are turbocharged.
In 93 the turbo was an option.
In 94 the 7.3 IDI NA and 7.3 IDI Turbo were available the entire year.
The 7.3 Power Stroke was available about half way through the production run.
jvc100, it should be easy to see, passenger side rear of the engine. Also it should have a square box on top of the engine for an air cleaner housing. The non turbo model has a round air cleaner housing.
Do you see the injection pump (right behind the oil fill spout) and external metal fuel lines going to each cylinder?
I know, I clearly don't have a turbo. Just strange Ford would put that manual in the truck! I'm happy with the low maintenance of the IDI non turbo. Banks Stinger exshaust is the next step.
