What weight oil are you running in it? If it's thicker than 5w-30, it's too thick and you are starving the bottom end of oil. The return passages from the top of the engine are very tiny and 10w- or 15w- oils are too thick and don't flow fast enough through the tiny passages.

This is a new truck factory oil correct weight and level.
[QUOTE=SHANE_2]Probably the Cam Phaser. Sound like it is from the right front top of the engine?
Yes it does sound like the right front top.Does come and go but not there at start up.Do you know what the fix would be. Replacement, adjustment,or computer reprogram?
There is a SSM (special service message) for this. Only there after engine is hot and at idle. Also goes away above 1000 RPMs. Fix is replacement of the Cam Phaser. Being a Master Tech, I called Ford Hotline on mine and a buddy of mines truck both having this issue. Hotline said it was purly a noise, and would have no long term effects on the engine, kinda like the piston slap issue on the older ones. To replace you have to pull valve covers and front cover and timing chains etc. I will not be opening my engine up to do this. As it's not that bad.
