My truck does not have delay wipers but I want them! I have heard all i need is the wiper switch that has delay and a black box. Is that right? I have a switch I THINK is the right one. It doesn't plug in because I need to get rid of that one part on it that prevents it from plugging in. It also has a black wire coming out of it......that is a ground, correct? Where does this "black box" go? And how does it hook up? Anyone know a price on one? Thanks.
You've got it. The correct switch will turn two clicks clockwise, like the regular, but will also turn counter clockwise about a half turn as a resistor. The black box just plugs in between. Some have a bracket to screw to the dash (you can also put the ground wire to one of those two screws) and some don't have the bracket, so you just shove the box under there, but you have to ground the wire. I think all the holes you need for either are already in your dash. If you can't find one at the upullit you can find them on ebay regularly.

I did the same thing a few years ago... get the switch and black box and it is "plug and play"... simplest upgrade you cand do. Has to be the best upgrade I have done. Cost me $10 US for thr switch and black box on eBay!
You need the switch that has the delay on it (it's the same as your current wiper switch except it turns boths ways). You also need the black box module that goes under the dash. Check your local junkyard for the cheapest price.
Doh! is right! Oh well. All I need is the black box module anyways. I already have the switch. I found it just lying around in my dad's parts Bronco that has a million parts in it. Maybe I can find a black box too! Thanks anyways though Dennis.
Cool! Now I just got to visit my local friends at the junkyard!

One other thing to note... I believe there is a ground wire on the "black box" that needs to be grounded. I had to secure the box under the dash with a ty wrap.
Does anyone have a picture of this "black module"? I am going to look in my dad's stash of parts and kind of need to know what I am looking for. Thanks.
