Plagiarism
Worse than profanity or personal attacks, I feel that plagiarism is a total diservice to a interesting and stimulating conversation. It is a disservice to others and a killing of one's own soul.
Although it has been said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, this is nowhere close to that.
Repeating another's work or ideas as your own, while taking credit, is one of the lowest form of theft. A rape of another's identity.
If you choose to post something, give the original author his due. Even if you don't know who it is.

Plagiarism
Along those lines, I had someone contact me off of this board and wanted to use some info I had about using a GM alternator in some kind of publication, or tech article. I told him I didn't care, but none of it was mine, I'd gotten it all off the internet and out of a magazine and there might be copyrights involved.
