First, welcome to . I do read everything in this forum (may not remember everything though )as i am chapter leader, its the first thing i check out everyday. But anywho after i get together with Dennis i will come up with a few other dates which take place during various car shows/various events (maybe even a flames/oilers game if they ever get to starting the season) and i am thinking about the swap meet in Red Deer and some other events such as the races in calgary or various mud boggs around the province.

Dennis, still haven't found out for sure is my parents are coming, but we did finish harvest today.

If Michelle is coming, it may end up in Tim's

If Food is your plan at that time ...we'll take you to good place to eat.

The Yard & House is all amuck with construction.

What crops do you grow & how did they yield ?

Food sounds great, as the other thing i would probably have eaten by then would be breakfast, i'm not that picky when it comes to where i eat, just as long as the beer is cold, the food good, and the service great.

We seeded 2600 arces of durum and it averaged about 30 busels/acre, and that is double what we have been averaging half that if we're lucky cause we've been in a drought of sorts for the past 10 years.

Was it the Frosted Wheat that you harvested?

I have been calling my cousin (he runs family farm in Sask) to find out how his crops did & if he even got them off. (snow)

No, Durum is known mostly as just durum, (durum wheat), but we thought that we were going to get snowed out ourselves but fortunatly the forecast was wrong and we are getting the nicest weather this fall right now.

Too bad I read this like 2 weeks after I should have...
Does anyone plan these things often, or just spur of the moment get togethers?

They can happen anytime through the year.

I've tried for a meeting at the Annual RD swap meet.

Just this last couple of weeks(Nov 13 or 14) I met Cody & had to buy him Supper so he would have enough energy to get to Edmonton.
All he had on him was some Wheat & the Grain Elevator's were closed.

I'll be in Red Deer tomorrow or Saturday .

Next time i buy, that is if that dang elevator opens .

That RD swap meet would be a good place for a bunch to get together, and as i told Dennis when i met up with him, anyone could bring their stuff in and sell it at a alberta/bc fte table of sorts.

But if anyone is interested we could do coffee at a tim hortons around the end of the first week of january.
