4X4 not working
2000 super duty PSD just had to get pulled out of muddy corn field cause front end would not pull. 4X4 indicater light comes on in dash. How do I tell if its problem with hubs not locking or electric shifter on transfer case? Need to get it working, lots of wet fields and winter coming soon.

Have you checked the vacuum hoses to the back of the hubs? The light should be indicating that the transfer case is engaged. Sounds like the hubs are not engaging. Have you tried the lock position on the auto hubs? Should work manually when in this position.
