Grabbed this link off Pirate, figured it can't hurt anything. It's a petition being sent to Ford asking them not to tailor the new Broncos for soccer moms. Figured this was appropriate to our forum so here it is . . . sign up!

All that petition does is ask Ford to base the bronco on the new ranger or F-series which aren't trail worthy vehicles to begin with. I would like to see new bronco based on the earlier models with durable parts such as straight axles and manual locking hubs but I doubt Ford will ever build that so its useless.
That's fine and all but if you don't speak up I don't want to hear any of you beeyach when you see front wheel drive Broncos rolling around. Kind of like the "If you didn't vote don't complain" theory.
Ivan, the only complaining your gonna hear from these people is when they are whining about their sore nut sacs, because I will find every one of you people who didnt help out on this and personally crush your nads (Just picture towards the end of the movie- Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back!!!!!!!!) THIS AFFECTS ALL OF US!!!!!!

Is there a stock trail worthy Ford in the current line up? I guess they could take a Rover and hang a Bronco badge on it.
rlh, unfortunately the Land Rovers have become less and less trail-worthy over the years. The Defender which is the last true trail-worthy LR and is not imported is being replaced with a semi-unibody with IFS and IRS similar to the new LR3. Then it may be imported. The new LR line-up is able to handle trails through electronic computer controlled gadgets. A far cry from the Series Rovers that could be disassembled and reassembled in the field with simple hand tools. I worry enough about doing trail fixes with my '93 Range Rover. I would hate to trail fix a new LR some 50 plus miles off the road.
What we need is a relatively simple vehicle with solid axles similar to the '66 to '77 Bronco. It would make a nice replacement to both the Broncos and Defenders that are getting harder and harder to find at a reasonable price.
I just singed it and was number 1160, let's keep it growing. Everybody that frequents this forum should at least give it a look. Besides it takes less than a minute to do.
yea, just keep it growing, if you dont vote you dont have a right to complain. these soccer moms are takin over and im not liking it much. i already can't buy a good old fashioned rough around the edges suv, now theyre basing them on cars and minivans. the insanity needs to be stopped
