battery leaking

The battery on the passenger side is leaking in the front. Has anyone else had this problem?

Make sure to wash down wherever the leakage occurred with something like baking soda and water. Make sure the dealer sees where the leakage went so if there is a future problem caused by the battery acid, it will be fixed.

That is your "primary" battery. If it gets replaced, I would make sure they replace both batteries.

They replaced just the one battery. They said they checked the other one and did not find a leak. I will checked after some time and see how both of them are doing. I cannot believe the battery was bad only after 7400 miles.

My primary battery was leaking in the same place. Ford replaced both batteries about a month ago under warranty.

No rubbing. Mine was leaking where the top cover meets the side housing of the battery. It is hard to explain but if you look at the sides of the battery you will see a line towards the top that goes around the battery and that is where it was leaking.
