Well I had to go work on my day off today (go figure). I was pizzled to say the least. Got home 2 hours ago and just suddenly decided that this seemed like a great time to start tearing into suspension. So I did. Got my front springs on (temporarily, still need bushings) and tires on the front. I'm going to have to get creative in the back because those U-bolt nuts would not let loose. So for the meantime it looks goofy as could be but still made my day EXCEPT for the fact that my bumper now sits at 37" and it's supposed to be at 28". Hmm, hopefully state patrol won't notice. I've got to find a way to fix that.
As predicted I'll need to do some work on my crossmember to make the front driveline work. I'm waiting for parts for crossover steering as well as my fender flares. When they are here I'll chop those fenders up. Beadlocks are supposed to be here next week (we'll see) but there's all these little odds and ends holding me up, not to mention the fact that my dash is gone and my wiring is toast.
wow, those tires and that lift dont really make much difference, do they What's the point of having a mall cruiser if you cant fit in the parking garage?!
That looks frickin rad! Cant wait to see it around town!!! (and off road hopefully)
The tires are 44" and I've got 6" springs up front at the moment. Everything clears but not enough to be driving on. I need to cut my fenders, maybe next week, and then I can see about lowering it just a bit so I don't get harassed too much about bumper height. I'm doing 4" springs in the back with a shackle flip.
dang, thats some big meat on the front of that thing. those tires really dont look like theyre gonna fit too well, but hey, what do i know. thats gona look awesome when you get done with it.
You've GOT to roll around town like that though, all vato-ed out with the nose higher than the rear........friggin hilarious. That thing is gonna be sweet
i definately see him getting pulled over nose up like that.......either that or killing someone, it would still be funny though, post some pics of the cops expression when he pulls you over.
Just get a big winch bumper or something like used on tow trucks, or bolt a 2x4 below until you get it figured out (did that for awhile with my s10 blazer i had)
You will probably drop the bumper an inch or two when you raise the back up. then you get get a peice of 8" tall C frame for a bumper and you'll be good to go.

Yeah, need some fuzzy dice and burrito first. I've got a drop bumper with a winch mount. I believe it's 12" top to bottom so that will help me out a little bit. Thinking I may pull the bottom leaf for better flex and to bring that front end down just a bit. I'll tear into the back this weekend.
Well, meaner from the cab forward anyways That pic with just the front 44's on flippin cracks me up. Its like looking at a crippled kid with decent upper body strength but little withered legs......Timmay!
I bet Ivan must have read that in the mud races you do better if the front tires spin faster than the rears so putting bigger tires on the front was easier than changing gears. either that or he just wants it to look like it's accelerating REAL hard all hte time
