bank question ????
Maybe someone will know the answer ? since i'am self impolyed and usally have 10 or 12 small checks i do my banking twice a month. I worked for a temp service about a 5 weeks ago got mad and walked off , well last week they records cought up with them and said i needed to come get my check that was 10-18 well i throw it in the box with the rest of my checks and today was bank day i went to deposit and that lone check would not go through becuase after 30 days the issue date is expired well it was issued on 9-24 . Can a company reissue a check that expired or am i wasteing my time ?

yes they can reissue the check. about 2 years after my wife and i got together i found a couple insurance checks that she had never cashed for some hail damage for about $3800.00. i called the ins. company and they reissued them after over two years

They can institute all the policies they want to help themselves keep their paperwork in order, but none can relieve them of their legal, financial debt to you. That's what a check is - a promise to pay. They don't have the option of not paying a legal debt.
