What do you collect?

I tried the new seach and didn't find any posts in regards to this, so I thought I would ask. I have just started to collect Hot wheels again, not very many of the yet. I have over 250 ball caps. 4 wheel magizines going back to 1972 from all different companies.

And I think my most favorite is the introduction of "Latigo" by Stan Lynde. The comic strip. I have the first copys that came out on Sunday, June 24, 1979. It includes the introduction of all the people in the strip and two comic strips. All of which Stan Lynde has signed for me in 1993 when he was at the mall in Missoula. They are framed and hanging on my wall above the computer. When he signed them, he told me he had lost his copies in the fire at his place in Kalispell in 1992.

Other than that, I collect dust, lots of dust.

Tom

I have a collection of zippo lighters. I never intended on collecting them, it just sorta happened. I also have a small but growing collection of modles of big rigs. The only thing I have that I intentionaly collect is pig stuff. Lil statues or toys of pigs, all sorts of pig stuff.

I have a collection of pens, pencils, and markers. I wouldn't actually say that I collect them. I just end up with them at the end of the day by putting them in my pocket at work, checkout counters, other people, etc, and when I get home I throw them into a box. I've had this habit for about ten years and I would estimate I have about 4 to 5 thousand! I bet office supply managers hate people like me.

I have a pretty large collection of $2 bills. I know they are only worth $2, but I like them.

It would appear that I collect Trucks, and Trailers.. I have a plethora of both.. I used to collect things related to trains, but time constraints got rid of that as a hobby. I used also to collect cards from Aussie Cigarettes - I didn't smoke so did poorly at that hobby too. I have no clue if anywhere has cigarette cards anymore - this was in the fifties..

At least they don't take up a lot of space. All my stuff is usually big and heavy.

Well yes they do. I get 2 of everyone I buy, 1 to store in the original unopened box and the other to display (I still keep the box), so I have a closet jamb packed with boxes

If my "stuff" would fit in a closet, I would jump for joy.

I collect junk. I can't throw anything away. I never know when I might need that old busted up harddrive, that I took the magnet out of someday.
