93 Ranger engine temp. gauge?
I have a 93 ranger and when hot my temp gauge moves back and forth from before the n in normal to around the r in normal. I know it is not moving much but any other gauge I've seen doesn't move like this. Also should the truck be running this warm? Could the coolant temp sensor be going to makethe gauge move like this or could it be water pump or some other problem? Thanks in advance! Bob

sounds like your low on coolant, check the radiator and overflow when the engine is cool.
It is normal for it to move, I've come to learn that large fluxuations are due to the lack of coolant.

I checked the coolant and the radiator and overflow are full. <but about 4000 miles ago I drained the coolant flushed and refilled. Do you think I could still have air in the system? Any suggestions on how to get it out? Thanks Bob
