Here lately my 93 F150 takes 2 to 3 grinds on the starter to get it to fire.
Replaced pickup coil in distributor, ignition module, checked fuel pressure, checked fuel pumps, cleaned plenum, replaced fast idle motor, and checked for codes (none). Plugs, wires, cap and rotor good. Truck has 204 k miles on it.

Thanks Duane, even though I've changed the oil faithfully every 3k I will do a
compression check. I thought it improbable at first but now that you mention it stranger things have happened with the best maintained machinery.
