last night my van was working fine. I turned it off to replace tires and when i when to start it back up it would not start. It cranks fine but won't start. I think it is is not getting spark because i smell gas but it will not start.

How can i check the coil and Where is the ignition module located on this model.

It is a V-8 conversion van

please help I need it for work.

Thanks
Alex

i fixed it thanks

Thank you for relpying

it is a 89 E150

Anyway I actually had spark but it was weak. i changed the rotor and cap, However this did not solve the problem.

Then i sprayed some carb cleaner into the intake to see if it was in fact getting fuel. It started right up! and stayed on. Do you you why this might have happened?

P.S. When i changed the cap i noticed that one of the plugs were not connected right do you think this might have contributed to the problem
