86 Axel code 19? Can someone verify this?
Hey all, I have an 8.8 in the back and a Dana 44 in the front but the tags are long gone. I am going to rebuild the rear axel and add a Track-Lock, new bearings, and new ring/pinion. I have the locker but want to order the gears and bearings.
Since these are the factory gears and my VIN tag shows "Axel - 19", what do I have?
Also, does anybody know if these are 28 or 31 spline axels? (I have a locker for both). Is there any kind of differences in 8.8 bearing sizes over the years? any other weird stuff I should know about?
