pistons avalilable for 390
I'm wondering which pistons seem to get the nod to build a solid bottom end. Apart from the custom ones is Speed Pro the only one that makes them and are the forged ones the only way to go? Putting together the bottom end and want it to be solid so that in the future when I can get the top end the way I want it I won't have to open the bottom up again.

The TRW / Speed Pro L2291's are by far the most popular forged pistons for the 390. If you're not going to run nitrous or boost, you can use the Silvolite 1131. It is a cast piston which while may not be as strong as forged, but will not expand nearly as much, as well as costing much less.

Diamond and Ross pistons are good too. The TRW/Speed Pro are the best for the money and you can shop for the best deal as everyone sells them. The Diamond and Ross will cost about another $100 or so than the TRW's but they are custom made to your specs if needed. G.
