Engine gurus...need 302 advice.

Ok, folks, I normally spend my time in the Big Bronco Forum as they are my principle interest. However, in the a year ago I had a rather horrific incident with vandals (see gallery) and find myself in possession of a FI 302 from a 92 Bronco. It is complete with the exception of the computer to run it and a couple of melted sensors. I am toying with the idea of having this engine redone with a bit more low end if possible for off-road use in another Bronco. I am well aware of the workings of these engines in stock form but not fluent enough in performance tuning and building to make educated decisions. In short, I need the advice of people who have done or at least know what they are talking about when it comes to performance tuning/building the EFI 302 truck engine. At this point in time money is not the issue. Merely ideas and suggestions as to what "DO's" and "DON'T's" there may be.

BTW the Bronco this enginge would drop into would already have Bassani shorty headers and exhaust if that makes a lot of difference.

If money isn't an issue, then I would sell it an purchase a 351w and start there.

About the only way to build a good deal of low end grunt with any engine is to stroke it, there are many kits for the 302.
