i got an 89 f-350 2wd 460 w/ c-6 and want to know what the fluid capacity is for filter change and then total capacity. also, is synthetic mobil 1 mercon the right specification for the c-6? thanks

I have another question. when i dropped the pan there was no magnet. can i just put any old magnet in the pan or does it have to be high temp or maybe real thin for clearance reasons, etc?
in addition, i found a couple of metal slivers in the filter. is that normal?
