When coming to a stop the engine has a HI idle, around 2200 rpm. I have to turn the key off and restart to get it back to normal. The same problem 11 months ago and the Ford dealer put a nu TPS and reprogramed the computer. Now the problem is starting to come back. I took it back to the dealer and but they could not find anything wrong. (Still under warranty but ending soon) Charged $65 for a computer check. I can spray fuel inj. cleaner down the air mass and this will take care of the problem for a while. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!

If the TPS "fixed" the problem last time try this:
Check for a corroded electrical connection to the TPS. Clean it, apply dielectric grease, and reset the computer by pulling the battery cable.

AMEN! Built to fail at the end of the warranty period???If this has been an ongoing problem have you talke dto the service manager, not service rep who by the way is probably under commission, about good faith resolution of warranty issues? It might be worth a shot... my two cents.

I normally don't have a problem with warranty problems at the Ford Dealership here, they have it documented. But it is amazing that right at the end of a warranty something goes South.
