I have been researching my heart out for the past two weeks on which 6" suspesion lift to get for my Bronco.
I narrowed it down to Skyjacker and Superlift. I will get the extended radius arms, and new 6" leaf packs (definatly NOT 4.5" leaf packs or whatever they are when you get the stage II 6" system from Superlift, but rather 6" softride leaf packs from Skyjacker).
As far as the rest of the lift goes I am torn. And I really need some input from you guys as I am reaching the end of the rope.
I would like to hear from people who have had experience with BOTH lifts, what they thought of them.
AND
I would like to hear from those of you who already have or had a 6" lift and what made you decide on the lift you decided on.
I don't think you can go wrong with either brand, as long as you get the extended radius arms like you stated. I currently have the Skyjacker Class II 6" kit, with the 4.5" rear leaf packs. It sat a tad bit low in back, so I added a 1" block under them to level it out, and correct the driveshaft angle. I can tell you with my 35x12.50 tires on 15x9" rims, that I do sometimes have light contact on the rear quarters when the suspension flexxes. You should get enough clearance with the 6" leaf packs, but still go cautiously. The other point is of course the tire contact on the radius arms at full lock. It has been the same with Superlift's kit in the past. I think the Skyjacker front coils are stronger, or at least the front end sits higher than a friend's truck with the Superlift springs. Like you, I had a tough time deciding between the two, but finally found a good sponsor deal on the Skyjacker kit at a truck show in CA. Good luck!!!
