What to stack with a six gun?

I dunno if I should post this here or in the 6.0L diesel forums but here goes. What kind of chip, programmer, or fuel box can I stack with my 2004 6.0L already equipped with a banks six gun w/ speed loader?

Its not recommended that you stack any of them. It will change the timing too much and you'll hear the results: rod knock.

I know, that your not supposed to stack any of them, but people are doing it somehow. I have a buddy witha 6.0L that runs an edge attitude and has two additonal chips stacked with it plus a fuel box. He won't tell anyone what kind of chips/ programmers they are either cause I guess it was a trial and error thing for him to see which ones worked. He quotes, "you can't turn them all on high you have to choose and match the right combos". There has to be somethign that can be stacked with a banks.

You can do it. But you can end up with loud rod knock. It will work, but its bad for the engine in the long term. Your friend doesn't have any chip on the 6.0L, its not chippable. The CAN bus computer in the 6.0L has no service port for a chip, unlike the EEC-V computer used on the 7.3L. It can only accept a tuner and fueling boxes.

It is easy to do, just need to know the right people. The Banks six gun is a joke, look at some real dyno results and you will see that. Try getting a hot fuel box and a hot timing box, seemed at first the big power was having one box be extreem at one thing and the other box on the other, now it seems like guys really are putting two fuel-timing-duration boxes on one and another, crazy stuff, the cummins are making BIG power running two-three boxes....

The DieselStop.com would be a start, what will start happening is you won't be able to supply enough fuel, then the turbo won't be able to flow enough air, then etc. etc. It is a fun game to play, there is a ton of used boxes and such for you buy. My favorite diesel guy is Haisleymachineandrepair.com, he really knows his stuff!!!
