Carts or buggies?

I've been in Oklahoma for 7 years and I have only heard them be called carts.

I call them shopping carts, my family calls them buggies.

Well, it's kind of weird. We call them shopping carts. But when I worked at Costco, part of the job was to go out into the parking lot and "do buggies." That's the only time I'd hear them being called buggies. All other times it's shopping cart.

I call it either way. Depends on how I'm feeling.

I'm in Southern Ontario and those wheeled grocery carrying devices are interchangeably called carts or buggies. I believe the British call them trolleys, though.
