I just noticed last night some oil on my frame near the steering box. I crawled under the truck and there is oil all over the box and it drips every now and then. Nothing to bad, but she's heading to the shop next week.

Anybody else?
Yup, mine was completely replaced two weeks ago. Leaking has since been non-existant. Coincidentally, it steers a bit nicer too ;-)

Does it seem to be coming from around the bottom of the box?
Mine leaks everything- power steering fluid, oil, coolant, tranny fluid
Oh well, as long as she stays in one piece, I really don't care
I took it in for the impressive amount of power steering fluid collecting on my driveway and a periodically small drop of oil about the size of a pea back where the bell-housing mates to the block.
End result was a new PS gear box, new o-ring for a glow-plug thingy where a distirbutor cap would normally go, two new glow plug harnesses and a new front main seal.

Yup and it looks like its on that shaft too. When I moved that boot up the shaft was oily and looks like it must spray out cause its all around it. Might just be cracked line.
Oh well warranty so its free.

Call me tomorrow...
I'm gonna send you a spare drivers side exhaust manifold if you'll give me your address and cover the shipping...
Trust me on this one
Well, actually,...how well do you trust your dealer?
Is it auto trans fluid your seeing or motor oil. Quite often motor oil in the intercooler tubes drips out where it connects to intercooler and covers the frame and steering box. The steeering box uses auto trans fluid.

I will check that out.

How long did it take them to replace your steering box?? I do believe that will be the topic on my next trip into the dealer. The frame and everything else under the left batt is wet. Does not feel like motor oil, but oil none the less. That and 4% fuel in the oil?!
