After recently purchasing a 2002 Ford Ranger Edge the 4th one that I have owned I was involved in an accident in which I was struck from the rear while movig at 3mph while he was dong 5o to 60 mph.
I am fighting with the insurence company to change the seat backs and the sea belts also because of the pressure put against them, becausse I fell they are part of the safty package of the truck. And I am still waiting to hear from Ford on this. They Have put a new frame and a new bed on this truck plus nunerous other parts, it should have been totaled.
You might want to talk trade in to the dealer b4 it comes out of the shop or as soon as you get it out of the shop and verify everything is fixed, -sell/trade it in for a new one since it will never be really right. You will continue to have odd noises, premature failures, odd problems. You can always try to make the insurer foot the bill for the trade. It will also show the loss in value of the truck that their insured caused over a regular trade-in to the insurance company. The dealer will also pick apart any dubious repairs ordered by the insurance company. The information will be helpfull if you have to go to court to show your loss.
