We do this to vehicles at work all the time. But we are exempt from state regs. Check your state laws to see if it would be legal to install these lights.
I did it when we got a new f350 as a first responder truck. No problems in over 5 years. The strobes came with rubber gromets, but to be safe I ran a bead of clear RTV along it for extra sealant power!
I put a red in the drvs headlight, a blue in the pass headlight, a blue in the drvs corner, and a red in the pass corner, blue ones in both reverse lights and clear ones in both taillights. All that in addition to the strob bar up top, the strobes flush mounted in the tailgate, and strobes mounted on the grill guard.
Better wear some sunshades when you flip the master switch!!!

Hey 13MWZ I have a question about the red strobes that you used in the headlights. I am a volunteer FF/EMT and have thought about using the red strobes, but I was warned that the red ones tend to look pink when they flash, is this true? Or do they look dark red like they should? I was afraid after hearing that so I just went with the clear ones in my headlights on my Mustang and use a plug in red dash light. Next question is did you get the red strobes from Galls? Thanks for the info.
Inside R1 Me too show only. I also go snowmobiling up North almost into Canada. Hit some bad storms going threw the mountains it snows so bad you can only see about fifty feet sometimes. I went with the amber. I will install one in each headlight and one in each reverse light section of the tail lights.

Guess it depends on the quality of the strobe. The ones we had (sorry, dont remember the brand) looked pretty good. They didnt look pink at all. What ever you do stay away from the ones that use the colored rubber boots. Those are the ones that look terrible. The stuff in galls.com is usualy good quality stuff.
In response to drilling into the actual headlight... be careful, as the reflecting portion of the housing is usually curved and then there is an outer housing of black plastic... making the appearance of a flat surface... an easy way to check is to take out the bulb and feel inside, if it's curved, I wouldn't try mounting it there... when I did mine, I drilled into the bottom of the turn signals, it's flat there, and... if you do screw up, a new directional on ebay is a lot cheaper than a new headlight Hope this helps
Thanks Cuda. Called a friend of mine that ownes a body shop he is going to install the strobes I can handle the rest. Does anyone have a 150 supercrew can I get power supply behind the back seat?
