I had that kind of work done on all of my chevy heads, cutting the seat and shimming the spring to get the correct install hight. I have never had a problem, but I was just stating to be carefull around the seat, so that there will be as little machine shop work as possible if you are on a budget.
I am getting all different exhaust port gasket sizes. I intend on using shorty swap headers on my 1969 351w engine in my 66 mustang. Does anyone know what is the correct gasket to use for gasket matching and porting the exhaust port on 1969 351w head. Thanks
